Hello Parricia , I believe I spoke to you on messenger today, we are looking forward to your attendance. Anybody who has attended any of the previous Gatherings has found them to be a great experience , learning about their history,having a good laugh and a good cry and maybe both at the same time. Roll on next June.

Wondering what events are planned for June 2026? Is there a site to sign up?
I wanted to send you the list events that took place in 2022 but I can’t copy to here. If you want me to send on Messenger send me a message We have not completed the schedule of events for next year but we expect we will have a lot more options as we have a lot more people coming. All activities as we have learned are not for everybody but we want everyone to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. It will be early next year before we have completed a schedule of events. All guides and speakers volunteer and we give them a small donation to the charity of their choice. This is to keep our costs at a minimum as we are a not for profit group.
Hi all we are intending to join the 2026 gathering. Is there recommendations for accommodation etc? Not sure about best place to base ourselves?

Hi John,
Noel Treanor (in Clontibret) put together 2 nice lists of places to stay, working with Monaghan Tourism, which you can see on the Accommodations link above. I think the Westenra may be full, but we stayed at the Hillgrove in 2019 and thought it was quite nice and parking there was fine. It was a brief walk to the town center. I think parking can be tricky if you choose a place that is further away and you have to drive into town to board the tour busses. The tour busses will pick up at a few stops. Others may know where.
