Jersey City New Jersey

Hello and thank you for allowing me to join. I cannot seem to find where and when the Trainors came to New York / New Jersey. I can only go back a far as John J Trainor 1849 – 1938 and Mary A Kelly Trainor 1851-1900. Would anybody here have any connection tp these two?

More links for genealogy research

I would also like to suggest a link for the Irish Genealogy website (which is free) on www.irishgenealogy.ie. It gives births 1864 to 1918, marriages (1845 to 1943) and deaths (1864 to 1968). Church records are also available. This is an invaluable website for anyone doing family tree research. I would also like to suggest that the Irish Census records are also available for 1901 and 1911. This is available at www.census.nationalarchives.ie (free of charge).

Anyone who has County Monaghan ancestors will find this link useful. Published by Monaghan County Council and Library Services it gives tips and advice on how to trace your ancestors.

How to start a new Blog post or access Our Discussion Board

This site is intended to be used by the Treinfhir clan and we request that all registered users be related to Treanor/Traynor/Trainor/Trainer/Trenor/Trayner/Trener/Treinfhir/McCreanor. We wish for only comments relating to our clan and no political post or profanity. Please be considerate and remember your international audience.

This post is categorized under Website Tips and Usage.

We recommend that you do register, in order to start a new post in our Blog or to access Our Discussion Board. Also note that some information on some pages is only visible to registered users.

Once you are registered, you should normally log in when you come back, which should be very quick. This will allow you to access all our pages and start a new blog post. Please only register once. Repeated email addresses are not allowed.

Once you are logged in, you may access the Dashboard by selecting “Treinfhir Clan” near the top of the page, next to the WordPress logo. In the Dashboard, point to Posts, slide over to and select Add New. You may also select All Posts, although you can see all posts without logging in. The Discussion Board is similar, although you cannot access the Discussion Board at all without logging in. There is also a shortcut at the top of the page to several features, marked with the word “New” or a “+” or both, depending on your device.

This site uses Categories for the blog posts. This is a convenient way to find a post later. If the word you remember is more common, then select a category, then search for it. When you post, you may not add a new category, although please let the administrator know if you wish to add a category. You can add tags, a featured image, and other options on the right under Document. Use Categories and Tags if you wish for your post to be found later. The default category is “Uncategorized.”

We have a very powerful editor, which supports spell checking, links, fonts, pictures, paragraph formatting, and html code. A new paragraph is a new Block in WordPress terminology. You can ignore all of this if you wish to type just text, but you can also jazz up your post with very few limits!

Please help yourself to healthy debate and the sharing of information!
