We have a blog and forum for sharing our thoughts. Our blog is like our Facebook group page: you can post to the blog with any random thought, or you can reply to someone else’s post, and the post that is most recent or has the most-recent reply appears at the top. Mostly they are not categorized. But, our blog lets you put your post into a category. It’s a nice feature that is helpful to the person who is searching for the post, thanks to the category-wise search feature at this site. It depends on the post fitting neatly into a category and on the poster remembering to indicate the category to which his post belongs. It is now possible to receive an email when someone posts to the blog.
A forum is more organized because you start with a topic in mind. You can have sub-topics, such as good Norwegian flights under the Travel topic. Also, you can subscribe to a topic to receive email notifications when someone posts to the topic. This is the capability that the Treinfhir Clan planning committee sought to improve on our Facebook page.
You can go to the Forum page here or the Blog page here. These pages are also available off the main menu.
We also have a listserv feature only available to registered members of our site. Please select subscribe if you would like to be on the list. If you do not see the option to subscribe below, please log in. We do this to protect against robot subscribers, so you should not expect spam as a result of subscribing.
To be on a listserv means you are part of a group conversation. You will receive any email sent (by a treinfhir.org member who subscribes to this) to listserv@treinfhir.org, and you may reply to the entire list. The sender’s email is revealed, so that you may respond to him or her for a side conversation, but you must address your email to that person. Both Reply and Reply All will email the whole list. You may also send a new email to the entire list yourself at listserv@treinfhir.org.
